Ombudsman plan and budget for 2021/2022

April 2021

In its latest plan and budget document, the Financial Ombudsman Service explains that the pandemic has contributed to an estimated 45% more complaints than expected received in 2020/21. The plans and budget sets out how the service is responding to this, including plans to bring down waiting times. An increase of £100 in the case fee to £750 for cases resolved after 1 April 2021, along with an increase in the compulsory jurisdiction levy to £96m, will help the FOS achieve the level of funding needed.
