Face to Face and Digital Training to Suit Your Needs

The opportunities for accessing face to face training have diminished over recent years at the same time as new digital based learning platforms have come on the scene. ICS has such a platform and there is no doubt that, particularly as the pandemic has meant us all working from home, they play a key part in our continuing professional development. The pandemic has illustrated very well that ‘every day’s a school’ day as we all rushed to be better at video conferencing and find alternative ways of communicating with our clients and staff.

Face to Face Training

However, a good proportion of training delivered to staff should be on a face to face basis even if this is a via monitor as it allows for real time queries to be answered and understanding to be gauged by the trainer as well as spending time with colleagues to practice and collaborate.

Establishing understanding and interest of staff has never been more key when considering the Conduct Rules training. The deadline for completing the remaining elements of SM&CR including conduct rules training for all staff has been extended to 31st March 2021 (from 9th December). The FCA have stated that digital training can only be part of the solution; training from line managers with specific examples of what it means to break a rule within the business are key.
