In our experience of auditing insurance distributors, one of the most common issues we have found over the years has been the robustness of firms’ T&C schemes. If we were asked, though, whether the FCA had published detailed guidance that told firms what their T&C schemes should include, we would have to say ‘no’. This is for firms to decide.
With the current FCA focus on value in insurance, firms could take an opportunity to use an appropriately ‘value’-focused 2024 T&C plan to help demonstrate their overall value proposition.
